La frase It's the first tìme that... ("È la prima volta che...") non è seguita dal verbo al presente, come in italiano, bensì dal verbo al passato prossimo:





E la prima volta che succede.
It's the first time this has happened.

È la prima volta che riceviamo mercé difettosa.
It's the first time we have received faulty goods.
